Vinification

Pinot noir matures for 12 months in large oak barrels. Assyrtiko wine lees are added and the wine matures for another 12 months. Bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfites. Very limited production.

Founded in 2016, Moschopolis is a private family vineyard in the village of Monopigado in the district of Thessaloniki. The vineyard has been in operation since 2001 and is located 500 meters above sea level, facing the mythical Mount Olympus. Over 10 hectares of vines with the following grape varieties: Mavrotragano, Xinomavro, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Assyrtiko and Malagousia.

Aromas and notes of strawberry, cherry, plum, walnut and vanilla.
Pairing
Great combination with beef filet and a red wine sauce, a wild mushroom risotto or a coq au vin. Best served at 16°C.
